HousingAnywhere is the largest booking platform for mid-to-long-term rentals with 30+ million yearly unique visitors, 160,000+ properties available for rent and 100,000+ tenants finding their new homes in Europe, the United States and Canada in 2022.

Expats, international students and young professionals, mostly aged between 18 and 35, looking to rent a home are matched with accommodation providers; ranging from private real estate owners to large-scale property managers and housing operators. Through its advanced platform, tenants typically book longer stays outside of their country of origin and rent accommodation for 3 to 12 months.

HousingAnywhere currently operates in most European cities as well as in key cities in the US and Canada, setting its footprint in more than 125 cities. The Rotterdam-based technology scale-up currently employs 260+ people.

Static data sync Static data is pulled by HousingAnywhere once every 24 hours. Additionally, the data is retrieved upon change.

Instant bookings No
Booking requests Yes. Booking requests come in via the HousingAnywhere platform and the host is notified by email and SMS. The booking requests are not sent to Rentals United, only the confirmed bookings are sent to Rentals United.
Quote requests No
Reservation sync HousingAnywhere pushes reservations to Rentals United.
Reservation modifications

Reservation modifications via Rentals United are not synchronised with HousingAnywhere.

Host can modify the booking in HousingAnywhere. These changes are not synchronised to Rentals United and host need to update manually directly in Rentals United.

Guest can modify a booking on HousingAnywhere. These changes are not synchronised to Rentals United and host need to update manually directly in Rentals United.

Reservation cancellations

If hosts decide to cancel a booking, they need to email support@housinganywhere.com explaining why they want to cancel. HousingAnywhere will not automatically take and act on cancellations made via Rentals United.

If guests decide to cancel, the booking gets cancelled in HousingAnywhere, however this update is not synchronised to Rentals United. Hosts need to cancel the booking in Rentals United. To do that,contact the Rentals United Support Team.

Cancellation penalties It is possible to cancel a booking with a valid reason without a penalty. Without a valid reason penalties might apply.

Maintain a response rate above 95% and a response time below 12 hours. Provide 10+ pictures per listing. Provide a listing description of at least 500 characters.

Charges & Payments

Charging party

HousingAnywhere charges the tenant the first-month rent only. Further monthly rent and other rental payments are charged directly by the host to the tenant. After the first payment is taken, HousingAnywhere pays out to the host via bank transfer 48 hours after the check-in date.

Commission 25% of the first-month rent per successful booking
